We Are:
No Pet Left Behind's pack leader is Carol Ely, a life-long animal lover and student of animal health and behavior who is dedicated to offering the highest quality professional pet care possible. A former veterinary technician, Carol more recently spent 9 years in the technology sector, the last 2 ½ of those years in San Francisco, California. Life in extremely dog friendly San Francisco inspired Carol to return home to Williamsburg and start No Pet Left Behind.
While in San Francisco, Carol volunteered with PAWS (Pets are Wonderful Support), an incredible organization dedicated to preserving the human-animal bond so important to the low income and disabled clients the organization serves. She encourages you to visit the PAWS website to learn about the wonderful work they do. Life in the Bay area also gave Carol the opportunity to attend the four day Dog Walking Academy offered by DogTec, which provided Pet First Aid/CPR certification as well as great information on canine body language, aggression, pack management and safety.
Carol's best friend is Rigby, a nine year old Beagle she adopted from the Heritage Humane Society seven years ago. Rigby is now a seasoned traveler, having made over a dozen cross country flights between Dulles and SFO and the cross country drive back to Williamsburg with his Mom. He is very happy to be back home in Williamsburg as he prefers a ride in the car to an airplane flight any day…
